About

I studied Philosophy and Instructional Design & Technology because I enjoy solving complex problems that also involve helping people learn. 


The questions guiding my Ph.D. studies are:

• How can we design interactive multimedia to help people learn new things or practice new skills?
• How can we design interactive multimedia to facilitate improvement of cognitive abilities themselves?
• How are these learning experiences different from casual gameplay?

Hobbies

I enjoy swimming, doing water resistance exercises, and cycling. I do these activities primarily to combat a muscle condition I've 
had since I was 16. Plus, there is a growing 
body of research about the cognitive and general health benefits of an active lifestyle.
